Reclaiming Eden

Sunshine pours through the leaves,
Rippling and filtering to where I stand
The graceful green grass greets it
And I laugh and reach for your hand.
Do you see the butterflies today?
They flit past as a living rainbow
And I rush to seek their pot of gold
Come join me – you will, I know!
The flowers bloom in their delight
The willow branch bends for me
The lake beckons me impatiently
We part its surface in ecstasy.
So we go, leaping like does,
Back to the fields once forgotten
There in our own secret haven
Rediscover our seventh heaven.
